What is a(n) WPL file?
A WPL (Windows Media Player Playlist) file is a XML-based playlist that stores references to multimedia files. It contains references to music or video files that the user has selected in Windows Media Player. The file is saved with the .wpl extension and compressed in the ZIP format. The playlist file is used to store information about a particular set of media files such as title, artist name, and media type.
