The SCM (ScreenCam Screen Recording) file format is a compressed, lossless video container used to store video sequences recorded with the ScreenCam screen recording software. It saves the full frame rate of the recording, along with audio information stored as ADPCM data packets.

SCM files normally have SSC file extensions and also contain other pieces of extra information such as titles, descriptions, author and copyright details. The software to view or convert these files must be able to support the proprietary encoding.– Windows Media Player or other dedicated video players like VLC can be used to open and view these files.
