What is a(n) PGM file?
The Portable Gray Map (PGM) file format is a lossless, 8-bit, Black and White image file type. This means that it stores image information without compressing it, resulting in a high-quality picture. As its name suggests, PGM files are most suitable for grayscale images, although they can also be used to represent color.
