What is a(n) MUS file?

The MUS (Finale Notation Format Format) is a proprietary file format used to save musical scores created in the Finale notation program. These files are binary and are primarily used to store sheet music as well as other multimedia objects, such as lyrics, chord diagrams, and more. They can be opened by importing them into the Finale program.
