MIG files are used by Microsoft Windows for data migration. These files contain the complete backup of the operating system settings, user accounts, and user files from Windows computers. They are created using the Windows Easy Transfer utility which is part of the Windows operating system.
MIG files are compressed in a proprietary Microsoft format, and are usually saved with a .MIG extension. These files can be restored through the Windows Easy Transfer utility to another Windows computer, or by using the Windows Disaster Recovery feature.
