What is a(n) MDS file?
MDS (Media Descriptor Format) is a binary file format used to store the properties of a CD/DVD image. It contains information about track layout, disc structure and files associated with the image. The MDS file is usually accompanied by an ISO file which contains the actual contents of the disc.
The MDS format is natively supported by many CD/DVD burning applications such as Alcohol 120%, CloneCD and Nero Burning ROM. Supported operating systems include Windows, macOS and Linux.
