The F4F (Flash Video Fragment) is a container file type used to store video segments encoded as Flash Video, which is the standard format for delivering online video content via the Adobe Flash Media Server. F4F files use the open source container file format, ISO base media file format, allowing multiple media streams to be embedded, as well as other types of data including media fragments such as streaming video, live streams and timed text.
F4F files may embed many audio/video streams in the same file and could also contain cues or other information providing metadata for MPEG-4, WebTV, and Flash formats.
