What is a(n) ENW file?
ENW (EndNote Import Format) is an authoring file format developed by Clarivate Analytics. It is used to store bibliographic references and associated metadata files for academic research and publishing. ENW files are created in the EndNote software application and contains citations, abstracts, taxonomy, and other data related to bibliographic works such as articles, books and dissertations.
ENW files can be imported into a variety of document processing programs including word processors, web browsers, and research assistance programs. These files are formatted as plain text and generally do not contain any graphical data. They also include the option of generating footnotes or hyperlinks when referencing other sources.
How to open ENW file?
There could be multiple reasons for which the system does not support given file. In the case of ENW extension, it is probable that none of the installed programs support given file type. Therefore, user should undertake the following steps
Step 1: Install a program that supports ENW files
If an application that supports ENW files is installed on user’s system, but is not used to open such files by default, right-click on the file icon and choose "Open with" option from the menu.
